Demand for skilled office workers remains high
Edmonds Community College students have opportunities to learn skills needed for jobs in medical, legal, financial or general office environments. Businesses look for employees who have a variety of skills, such as keyboarding/typing, communication, computation, computer proficiency, human relations, problem solving, and organization and management.
Advisory committees of professionals employed in various office areas keep our programs in line with current job requirements. Existing curriculum is revised, new courses developed, and up-to-date equipment acquired to meet the changing needs of employers.
Certificates and Degrees
You can choose to pursue a two-year degree, short-term certificate or just take a class. Classes offered day, evening and online. All programs require hands-on computer work and an internship.

We encourage you to meet with a Business Information Technology adviser prior to enrolling your first quarter. Make you sure to get a program requirement sheet to see what classes you need for a specific degree or certificate. You may enroll in classes without working toward a certificate or degree.
Skills Center Offers Individualized,
Self-Paced Learning
We offer you the opportunity to learn new skills one credit at a time! By breaking coursework into sections, you can learn at a pace that is comfortable to you. Classes offered during the first seven weeks of the quarter (six weeks in summer). Just select the number of credits that you want - and receive grades for the portion you complete.
